Course overview

This course provides counselors with an overview of Common App in Xello, enabling them to guide students and teacher recommenders effectively in fulfilling Common App tasks. Counselors will gain a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities in the process, as well as the steps for teacher recommenders and students in Xello's Common App integration.

Course objectives

  • Feel confident in knowing the steps students need to take in Common App and in Xello to submit their Common App college applications

  • Leave with resources to support students in completing their applications and teacher recommenders through fulfilling Common App evaluations

  • Know how to action Common App counselor forms in Xello

  • Understand how to track the status of students' Common App college applications
